Anjo exists to give every person an intelligence of their own. We start with one: an iPhone app that remembers your life, dreams on it every night, and lets you see inside its mind.
The lab
Anjo is an independent AI lab based in Taiwan and a member of NVIDIA Inception. We work on the part of intelligence that foundation models leave out: the part that learns one person over a lifetime, revises what it believes, and stays correctable by the person it is about. We publish the research and the measurements in public.
Why one person built this
Kevin Chang founded Anjo and writes the code. There is no team behind the name yet, and we say so wherever a page could imply otherwise.
One person has an advantage a larger company gives up: we answer to nobody who wants the product used more. So we can build what an engagement business cannot afford. When conversations leave a person worse, Anjo goes quieter. That is a table in the code, not a policy memo.
The cost is real. Releases are slower, and review comes from outside tooling and from users rather than a second engineer down the hall. We would rather publish that limit than hide it.
How we work
Every mechanism we rely on has a page that names what it does and the limit it does not cross.
Receipts: every person, pattern and change Anjo holds about you carries the moment it came from, and “not me” moves it twice as far as agreement.
Grounding guard: an unsupported “last time you said” is removed before it reaches your screen.
No engagement mechanics: the outreach cooldown is the same at every relationship stage.
When a number we published turns out to be unsound, we withdraw it and say why. Here is one we withdrew. When a mechanism is measured, we show the measurement. When it is not, we say that instead.
